Arctic Encounter by Robert Bailey
The first in the NORTH ATLANTIC CHRONICLES SERIES, the ships of PQ-17 are under attack by the Ju-88 bombers of III/KG-30 based at Bardufoss, Norway.  In early 1942, Hajo Hermann (father of the German night fighters "Wild Boar" tactics) was assigned as the commander of III/KG-30, attacking arctic convoys from Norway, including the infamous attack on Convoy PQ-17.
