Black Sheep Squadron
by
John Shaw
Few Fighter Squadrons in History ever became household names across
the globe. Marine Fighting Squadron 214, better known as the "Black
Sheep" was certainly one of those rare groups! Led by the always
colorful and sometimes controversial Greg "Pappy" Boyington, the intrepid
men of the The Black Sheep established an outstanding record in the
South Pacific skies. Often outnumbered, but Never outfought, this
distinguished squadron earned the Presidential Unit Citation for it's
actions in WW II.
Artist John D. Shaw now salutes this truly legendary group in this
painting, based on research provided by its original members.
This is an extremely rare opportunity in that each of these beautiful
lithographs is signed by Twelve of the Original Black Sheep pilots.
Each print includes a certificate of authenticity and squadron &
pilot profile.
