The 81st Fighter Squadron in Operation Allied Force

The 81st Fighter Squadron "Panthers" based in Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, deployed its A/OA-10 "Warhog" aircraft to Italy in support of NATO operation. The Panthers were tasked for combat search and rescue alert mission. The 81st destroyed or controlled the destruction of hundreds of Serb tanks, armored personnel carriers, artillery and mortars, with no civilian casualties.
