Zemkes First Fan by David Pentland

On May 12th, 1944, Col. Hubert Zemke tried to engage Luftwaffe fighters with his new "Fan" tactic. Unfortuneately his aircraft was bounced by Major Gunther Rall on this occasion and escaped only by sending his P47-D Thunderbolt into a gut wrenching dive.
