Extensive research, including flights over the area, has resulted in this powerful tribute to the brave Lancaster crews of 9 and 617 Squadrons who flew their heavily laden aircraft at the absolute limit of their endurance to rid the Allies once and for all of the 'Tirpitz Menace'. Signed by two bomb aimers who dropped the Tallboys on this famous raid. One representing 617 Squadron and one representing 9 Squadron.
