Yak Attack! is faithfully reproduced from the original oil painting by Roy Grinnell, AFAA. It portrays the 15th victory of pilot Roland de la Poype, Escadrille Normandie Niemen on October 23, 1944, when he shot down a FW-190. This was the 182nd victory for the Normandie Niemen.
